Marci started Cakes by Marci Marie after spending years creating custom, elaborate birthday

cakes for her children. One request from a follower on social media soon turned into a full

blown home-based custom cake business.

Marci grew up baking her whole life and learning from her mom & grandmother who were both

avid recipe collectors. A self-proclaimed cake lover, she loves experimenting with ingredients

and themes. Her goal is to create happiness through cake and whatever occasion is being

celebrated, a cake from Marci always brings the wow factor. Whether you’re looking for

excellent cake flavor, unique textures or extravagant designs, Marci has it covered!

The most rewarding aspect to running Cakes by Marci Marie from her home is that it gives her the opportunity to be an example for her kids. She loves showing them that their mom is working on something that she’s super passionate about and her kids are biggest cheerleaders, always asking what cake she’s going to make next.

Joining West Tenth has helped Marci connect with more people who are looking for special

custom cakes and she loves the overall feeling that the West Tenth community provides. It’s an
